One of my favorite parts about travelling in developing countries is eating like a local. And a big part of eating like a local is eating street food. For pennies, you can get momos in Nepal, paninis in Turkey, or byrek in Albania. Luckily, since I live in Brooklyn, I don’t need a passport or time off of work to enjoy these delicacies. All I need is a metro card, because just a few miles away is one of the most culturally diverse places on the planet: Queens.
